Do you find yourself judging other people at first glance? .
I haven’t always lead my my life with an open heart.
I was raised by two very mean and very angry people.
As children, and any living creature truly, we slowly become a product of our environment unless we are taught other ways or exposed to other environments (ideas, morals, behaviors, etc.) Without going into too much detail—
I was raised in complete himsa (violence). My parents were abusive towards myself and one another.
They were constantly creating fires in their lives and showing me examples of how to not put them out, but throw gasoline and more wood on top of it.
I had to train myself out of being this person they molded me to be.
I had to make the conscious decision to lead my life with an open heart.
Not to judge people when I first meet them.
Not to judge people based on their past.
Not to judge people based on what they say.
To recognize and respect that every single person in this world is living a life full of intricate and complex stories, traumas and problems that we don’t understand fully. .
